This is the team I've been on ever since I came back to playing the game of ice hockey. Before this team I wasn't playing for two years, because we couldn't find a house team for me. I would still skate, since I helped out my younger brothers hockey team for those two years I couldn't play. As you can on my helmet there are two stickers, one side has "S" for Skyline, and the other side has the Huron logo. The team is on the jersey is the first part of Skyline and the last part of Huron. What you can't see is that there are 3 different blues on that jersey, but green is all the same. Ice hockey is my passion, and I loved coming back to playing games with this team, because I've had so much fun. Even some of my old teammates are on the same team as me, who are also have been my friends since we played with each other way back then. I love the game so much, even though girls have different rules then the boys do. As long as I'm playing the sport that I love and care for I'm fine.
These are my own pair of hockey skates. They are also the first pair in awhile that are my own personally. Meaning that I would always get handy downs from my older brother, and my younger brother. So this the first pair in awhile that weren't handy downs from anyone. They are Bauer Supreme skates that are yellow and black. The boot of the skate my look really small, but its not that bad. I will probably have these skates for the rest of my hockey career, unless my feet grow a little more. As you can see they aren't that beat up, but they are getting there. Like on the plastic holder for instance you can kind of see some marks. The laces on them are somewhat new, I had to replace my original ones, because one lace was about to go in half.
In all of my ice hockey career, I've had 4 different sticks. Even though you can't really see the entire stick, I like this one a lot. This stick I was using when I scored my first ever goal in my high school hockey career. It was against Pioneer, and it was kind of a weird goal, but those are the best types. I didn't really know I scored the goal, since I feel. The way I found out that I scored was my teammates yelling that I did. This stick is also a stick that I shot really well with, which helps with playing the game. You need a stick thats perfect for you and how you shot the puck. I use white tape on the blade of the stick, because my stick is black. Its also so that way my teammates can have a visual of where to put the puck on my stick.
I love these gloves, because they fit my hand while, and its easy to grip the stick with. Sometimes with gloves once you have them for awhile they start breaking. So far I've had these sine freshman year, and they haven't broke yet. The way these gloves are positioned on my stick are how you should hold a stick. Its also were your hands should be positioned when you do a wrist shot. You should always have one hand near the top, and the other one kind of near the middle. Sometimes I do have some trouble with the way I hold my stick. Like for example I will get a "chicken wing", which is a thing you don't want your arm to be in. As you can see now, you can see a little bite of the design on my stick, compared to only seeing the blade on the ones above these photos. Its a CCM Ultra Tacks stick, and its light in weight, so its better for my shot.
I'm not a goalie, but I had a goalie glove at my house. So I decided it would look cool if I choose one of my objects to be this. The color of the glove matches the entire set of goalie gear. Goalies also try to match the colors with there team colors. So this goalie set was red, black, and white in color. Sometimes a goalie saves a puck to the side. The movement of the goalies arm looks awesome when they save a puck sometimes. The way the glove closes, it kind of looks like a baseball mitt. Sometimes when a puck is in the air, and the goalie catches its hard to tell if he/she did or not. It happens so fast that sometimes when the puck is in the air you lose sight of it, and you can't find it anywhere until the goalie reveals that he/she has it.
